When my family and I chose Mount Albert as our home, we quickly saw what makes this community special — great neighbours, strong local pride, and a wonderful place to raise a family.
My career has taught me the importance of listening, building relationships, solving problems, and finding practical solutions. That’s the approach I’ll bring to Council.
As a husband and father of two young boys, I care deeply about the future of East Gwillimbury. We need to manage growth responsibly while protecting what makes our community special.
Meet Carmen
I live in Mount Albert with my wife, our two young sons and our dog. I'm a business professional who believes strong communities are built by people who are willing to listen, work together and get things done.
I was born in Orillia, Ontario and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Francis Xavier University, where I developed a strong interest in public policy, leadership, and community engagement.
Professionally, I serve as Key Account Manager overseeing Ontario for a Consumer Packaged Goods Company, where I work closely with retailers, distributors, and local businesses across the province. My career has been built on relationship management, problem solving, budgeting, and delivering results in competitive environments — experience that translates directly to municipal leadership.
As a resident deeply invested in the future of this community, I have seen firsthand the pressures local families are facing: rising costs, rapid growth, infrastructure challenges, traffic concerns, and the need to preserve the character that makes Ward 3 and East Gwillimbury a special place to live. I am running to ensure residents have a councillor who is honest, accessible, accountable, and focused on practical solutions rather than politics.
I believe council should prioritize responsible growth, transparent decision-making, infrastructure that keeps pace with development, and stronger communication between residents and Town Hall. I am committed to listening to residents, supporting local businesses, and advocating for policies that protect the quality of life for current and future generations.
Together with my wife, two sons, and dog, I am proud to call this community my home and I am committed to helping build a stronger future for Ward 3 and East Gwillimbury.
